Feature & Follow Friday

Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop that is designed to provide some much-appreciated exposure to the bloggers participating, and to expand their following. Hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read, each of whom feature a chosen blog for the week, it's an interesting way to get to know one another.

If you would like to follow me right now you can do so by GFC, Twitter or Linky (right side).

Q: What is the longest book you've read? What are your favorite 600+ page reads?

I actually had to get up and look at my bookshelf for this one. Even though some books seemed like they were that long they only came in at about the 500 something range. The winner is...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
page count: 870

I loved this series of course. They would decorate our downtown area to be like Diagon Alley for the midnight book releases. Lots of fun.

What are my favorites besides that. Well Libba Bray's Gemma Doyle series. The 3rd book is actually the only one that comes in at over 600 pages.

The Sweet Far thing by Libba Bray
819 pages
A couple of my other favorite 600+ pagers are also from the Harry Potter series. I thought for sure my historical biographies would make the cut but I guess not.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
759 pages

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
652 pages

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was my answer this week too! And how cool that they would decorate your town to look like dragon alley! That's some dedication.

I need to read Gemma Doyle! I'll be cheating if I put HP because I read them all in Mandarin version; they're my mother's.

Hi! I really need to read The Sweet Thing. I enjoyed A Great and Terrible Beauty, so I'm really not sure why I haven't finished the series.

Hopping through. Happy FF!

I have a couple of her other books but haven't read them yet. I've been told they are very different then her Gemma Doyle series.

If you consider the fact that the version of The Lord of The Rings I read was the one that’s one book with the 3 parts inside (1202 pages in the brazilian version), that would be the longest book I’ve ever read. But if you consider series to favorite 600+ page reads, hands down, Harry Potter. Not so much for the story, but for the feeling it brings me every time I think about it.

I'm a new Twiter follower, btw!
