Q: What is a book you didn't like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn't popular?
This is actually an easy question for me....Beautiful Creatures.....it's not even that I didn't like it I just felt very blah about it. The writing was good but I just didn't like Ethan a whole lot so it fell a little flat. I did even go see the movie, which also super unimpressed me because they changed the things I had actually liked in the book.

I've not read that one yet but I am waiting to get it from the library. I'm always curious to read the books that are turned into movies.

I wasn't a fan of Beautiful Creatures the book either. Or the movie. Actually, I thought the movie was a little ridiculous. The costumes and makeup were totally distracting. Yech.
It's so sad when this happens. I loved BC, but I can understand why others didn't. It's all in the eye of the beholder, and if I don't connect with the main character, it's not a good reading-experience for me.
